What our research says

Framer

Framer is the builder to pick when the person shipping the site thinks in a design canvas and the site is a marketing surface — landing pages, portfolios, launch sites — rather than an application. Its AI is a layout and copy accelerator inside that canvas, not a site-in-a-click generator, and the honest cost is the seats: the $10 Basic headline becomes $30 the moment a second person needs edit rights.

Pros

  • Design canvas with real responsive breakpoints rather than fixed templates
  • Hosting, CMS, localisation and custom domain are included on paid site plans
  • AI credits come with every plan, including 500 to try on Free
  • Published pricing with no quote gate below Enterprise

Cons

  • Editor seats cost $20 each on top of the site plan
  • AI generation is metered in credits that need topping up on heavier use
  • CMS item and page caps (1,000 / 2,500 items) are tight for larger content sites
  • The pricing page shows one figure per plan under a yearly toggle, so the month-to-month price is not obvious

Sitekick

A 2022-vintage AI page builder now competing against Framer, Lovable and Wix's own AI, and its search interest has fallen roughly 94% from the 2023 peak. Only worth $20/month if you specifically want hosting, copy and imagery on one bill and genuinely will not open a builder yourself.

Pros

  • Copy, layout and images are generated together rather than as three separate chores
  • Hosting is bundled, so there is no separate deploy or DNS step
  • Export is offered, so pages are not permanently locked to the platform
  • Annual billing brings the entry tier down to roughly $12/month equivalent

Cons

  • No free tier at all; the 7-day trial is the only way to evaluate it
  • Site-count caps bite quickly, with just one site on the $20 plan
  • Reviewers repeatedly report slow support and awkward subscription cancellation
  • The category has been overrun since 2022 by Framer AI, Lovable and Wix ADI

Which one fits

Choose Framer if you need

  • Designers shipping marketing sites and landing pages without a developer
  • Startups that want hosting, CMS, localisation and a custom domain under one subscription
  • Teams prototyping in a canvas who want the prototype to become the live site

Choose Sitekick if you need

  • Solo founders who need one landing page live the same day
  • Non-designers who also need the copy written for them
  • Agencies spinning up disposable campaign pages
