What our research says

Fimo

Fimo answers the problem that appears the day after an agent finishes your marketing site: a non-developer needs to fix a headline and nobody wants to redeploy for a typo. The founders built Strapi, so the CMS half is credible. The catch is that you adopt their hosting and their credit meter to get it.

Pros

  • Visual content editing writes back into the real repo instead of a separate database
  • Hosting, SSL and CDN are included rather than assembled separately
  • Agents run on a schedule for SEO metadata and translations
  • Free tier takes three projects without a card

Cons

  • No public platform API is documented
  • Agent work is metered in AI credits, so heavy automation is capped by plan
  • Only one self-serve paid step exists before you are talking to sales

Framer

Framer is the builder to pick when the person shipping the site thinks in a design canvas and the site is a marketing surface — landing pages, portfolios, launch sites — rather than an application. Its AI is a layout and copy accelerator inside that canvas, not a site-in-a-click generator, and the honest cost is the seats: the $10 Basic headline becomes $30 the moment a second person needs edit rights.

Pros

  • Design canvas with real responsive breakpoints rather than fixed templates
  • Hosting, CMS, localisation and custom domain are included on paid site plans
  • AI credits come with every plan, including 500 to try on Free
  • Published pricing with no quote gate below Enterprise

Cons

  • Editor seats cost $20 each on top of the site plan
  • AI generation is metered in credits that need topping up on heavier use
  • CMS item and page caps (1,000 / 2,500 items) are tight for larger content sites
  • The pricing page shows one figure per plan under a yearly toggle, so the month-to-month price is not obvious

Which one fits

Choose Fimo if you need

  • Teams whose marketing site was generated in Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
  • Developers who want a visual editor sitting on top of a Next.js repo
  • Small sites that need recurring metadata and translation passes

Choose Framer if you need

  • Designers shipping marketing sites and landing pages without a developer
  • Startups that want hosting, CMS, localisation and a custom domain under one subscription
  • Teams prototyping in a canvas who want the prototype to become the live site
