What our research says

DreamzAR

A reasonable pick for a homeowner who wants to visualize yard changes on an actual photo of their property rather than starting from a blank template, especially on iOS where the AR walkthrough is available. Android and web users pay the same price for a feature set missing the 3D AR walkthrough, which is worth checking before subscribing on those platforms.

Pros

  • AI photo redesign works from a real photo of the actual space in under two minutes
  • Large plant and object library (2,000+) for the 2D/AR editor
  • Available natively on iOS, Android, and web

Cons

  • The AR walkthrough mode is iOS-only despite Android and web paying the same subscription price
  • No clearly confirmed free tier beyond initial use

Planner 5D

Fifteen years old and available on essentially every platform, which is rare in this category and shows in how complete the toolchain is - plan, furnish, render, export to CAD. The AI parts are add-ons to a conventional design tool rather than the product itself, and they are rationed by credits even on paid plans. The free tier is usable but deliberately limited to half the catalogue.

Pros

  • Native clients for web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and visionOS
  • AI plan recognition traces a photographed or scanned floor plan into an editable one
  • Catalogue of 8,000+ furniture and decor items, with 4K rendering and 360-degree walkthroughs on paid tiers
  • CAD export and a product configurator for furniture retailers on higher tiers
  • Lithuanian company with a published registered address, trading since 2011

Cons

  • Free plan withholds about half the furniture catalogue
  • AI credits are capped monthly even on the $49.99 tier
  • API access is enterprise-only and requires contacting sales
  • Annual and monthly prices differ sharply, so month-to-month is poor value
