Enterprise coding assistant grounded in your whole repository
Cody is Sourcegraph's coding assistant that answers questions and writes code using the company's code search index as retrieval context, so it can reference files across a large monorepo rather than only the open buffer. It runs inside VS Code and JetBrains IDEs and can be pointed at different underlying models. Since mid-2025 it is sold only to Sourcegraph Enterprise customers, with the self-serve tiers withdrawn and individual developers pushed toward Amp.
Sold only inside Sourcegraph Enterprise annual contracts through sales; the Free, Pro and Enterprise Starter self-serve tiers were discontinued in July 2025.
Use tool ↗Only worth evaluating if you already run Sourcegraph and your codebase is big enough that repository-wide retrieval actually changes answers. Solo developers and small teams cannot buy it at all any more.
Watch out: Sourcegraph's public pricing page no longer mentions Cody at all, so treat long-term roadmap commitment as an open question during procurement.
