Use tool ↗About Bubble
Bubble is a visual development platform where you build database-backed web apps and native iOS and Android apps by laying out pages and wiring workflows instead of writing code. Hosting, the database and deployment are part of the platform, and usage is metered in workload units. The AI layer has two parts: Bubble AI generates a full, editable app from a description, and the Bubble AI Agent (beta) adds features, troubleshoots and explains an existing app. Each plan includes a monthly pool of AI credits that the Agent, image generation and test data draw on. The company behind it is Bubble Group, Inc.

Pros & cons of Bubble
Bubble suits founders and teams who want a real database-backed product without hiring engineers, and who accept living inside one vendor's platform. People who want exportable code or predictable hosting costs at scale should look at code-generating builders instead.
Pros
- Database, hosting, auth and deployment come in one platform
- Native mobile editor and on-device testing are included even on Free
- AI app generation does not consume AI credits
- Large plugin and template ecosystem
Cons
- No code export, so leaving Bubble means rebuilding
- Headline paid prices are billed annually
- The AI Agent is still in beta and draws on a capped credit pool
Best for
- Non-technical founders building an MVP or internal tool
- Teams shipping one app to web and native mobile from one editor
- Agencies building client apps on a single platform
Not for
- Developers who need to own and export the source code
- High-traffic apps where workload-unit overages make costs hard to predict
Watch out: Pricing is metered in workload units; heavy workflows or traffic can push an app past its plan's allowance into pay-as-you-go overages, and included AI credits reset monthly without rolling over.
