What our research says

Blackbox AI

Worth a look if your security team blocks shared AI infrastructure and you can commit annual spend for discounted per-token rates across many models. The catch is that the product has repositioned around enterprise procurement, so individuals and small teams have no published plan to buy.

Pros

  • One endpoint for 300+ open and closed models with prompt caching and streaming
  • End-to-end encryption and zero data retention written into the contract
  • Published per-token sample rates are aggressive for the listed models
  • Implementation support and a dedicated engineer are bundled into enterprise deals

Cons

  • Only route to buy is a committed annual purchase order
  • The pivot leaves the former consumer coding product's status unclear
  • Performance and cost claims on the homepage are self-reported

CodingFleet

A grab-bag of browser coding utilities that works best when you want one discrete transformation — convert this file, explain this function, write tests for this class — without wiring an assistant into your editor. The very large input ceilings are the real selling point. It does not touch your repo, so it will not replace an in-editor assistant.

Pros

  • A dozen distinct tools sharing one account: generate, convert, explain, enhance, document, test, review, run
  • Input ceilings from 100,000 to 800,000 characters depending on tier
  • Sandbox code runner and diagram-to-code conversion included
  • Credits accumulate month to month and are not forfeited on cancellation
  • Free tier is usable for evaluation with 100,000-character inputs

Cons

  • No editor or repo integration — everything is copy and paste
  • No public API
  • The pricing page 404s for automated readers, so tier detail is second-hand
  • Credit metering means heavy sessions consume a tier quickly

Which one fits

Choose Blackbox AI if you need

  • Enterprises that need single-tenant inference with contractual zero data retention
  • Platform teams consolidating many model providers behind one OpenAI-compatible endpoint
  • Organizations running coding agents that must stay inside controlled infrastructure

Choose CodingFleet if you need

  • One-off code conversions between languages
  • Pasting a large file in for explanation, review or test generation
  • Developers who want frontier models without an IDE integration or a subscription to each provider
