What our research says

BHuman

The record-once, personalise-many model keeps a real person on screen, which usually lands better than a fully synthetic presenter, and the Speakeasy mode covers cases where nobody wants to record at all. The catch is that credits are shared across both modes and API access is locked to the top tier, so the economics only work if you know your volume in advance.

Pros

  • Personalisation covers the spoken name plus images, links and landing pages
  • Speakeasy generates a presenter and script when there is nothing to record
  • Free tier of 15 credits is enough to judge lip-sync quality
  • Wide integration surface including Zapier, HubSpot and Pabbly

Cons

  • API access is restricted to the $150 Ultimate plan
  • Credits are shared between personalised video and Speakeasy, so heavy use of one starves the other
  • The published terms of service date back to 2022 and predate the current product

Colossyan

The right pick when the deliverable is a compliance or onboarding module that has to land in an LMS, not a talking-head marketing video. If SCORM, quizzes and branching are not in your brief, Synthesia or HeyGen give you better avatar fidelity for the money.

Pros

  • SCORM export, quizzes and branching are native, not bolted on
  • 300-plus stock avatars and 100-plus languages in one editor
  • API minutes are included in the Professional tier rather than sold separately
  • SOC 2 Type II and SAML SSO make enterprise procurement easier

Cons

  • The split between NEO and NEO2 minute pools makes plan comparison confusing
  • Free tier gives only half a minute per month on the newer engine
  • Professional caps you at three editor seats before Enterprise pricing
  • Bulk NEO2 minutes are sold as a $1,500-a-year add-on, not per-minute top-ups

Which one fits

Choose BHuman if you need

  • Outbound teams sending video at list scale rather than one at a time
  • Lifecycle marketing that needs named onboarding or renewal clips
  • Anyone with an existing CSV of prospects and no video production budget

Choose Colossyan if you need

  • L&D teams replacing slide-and-narration courses with video modules
  • Compliance and onboarding content that needs SCORM packaging and tracking
  • Rolling one course out in many languages without re-recording
