Breed and remix AI images by crossing parent pictures
Artbreeder makes images by crossing existing pictures and dragging sliders for traits such as age, expression or style, instead of relying on prompts alone. The original GAN-based Splicer sits next to a Composer canvas where you place shapes and text hints before a diffusion pass renders the result. It runs entirely in the browser and images posted to the public feed can be re-bred by other users.
Free accounts get 3 credits a month; paid tiers add 100 to 700 monthly credits plus privacy controls and Google Drive sync.
Use tool ↗Still the most tactile way to explore a latent space by hand, but as a straight image generator it has been overtaken. Use it to produce families of related characters, not finished artwork.
Watch out: Privacy controls are a paid feature — free-plan images are public, so anything sensitive belongs on a subscription or somewhere else.
