Scores your job on five factors, tells you whether to jump or stay, and ranks your salary against peers
Tiered is a career-decision tool built around one number. It scores you across engagement, compensation, marketability, company and industry, combines that into a 'Jump or Stay' score with a recommendation, and shows where your salary ranks by age, industry and location. Around that sit resume improvement, company sentiment data and introductions to recruiters. Sign-up is through Google, LinkedIn, Facebook or email, and a public salary comparison page takes a figure and an age without an account. The FAQ says there is a subscription for tracking your rank over time and a separate one-time fee for a snapshot, but neither figure is published. The operator is Tiered, Inc.; the blog has not been updated since spring 2024.
The FAQ confirms both a subscription for ongoing rank tracking and a one-time fee for a single snapshot, but no amount appears anywhere on the site and there is no pricing page. Sign-up and the public salary comparison are free.
Use tool ↗Reducing 'should I quit' to a single score is a clean idea, and the salary-rank-by-age framing is more useful than a raw market median. But the site publishes no prices, no methodology and no data sources for the ranks it quotes, and its blog stopped in spring 2024 — signs of a product coasting rather than being worked on. Useful as a second opinion, not as evidence in a negotiation.
Watch out: Salary ranks here are drawn from Tiered's own users, not a published wage dataset, so the cohort may not resemble your market.
