Shakker AI vs Tensor.Art

Two fact sheets from our own research, side by side — pricing, platforms, API access and status re-checked by us rather than quoted from the vendors. Tensor.Art publishes a starting price ($9.90); Shakker AI does not. Both have a free tier. Only Tensor.Art ships a public API.

What our research says

Shakker AI

The draw is running community Stable Diffusion checkpoints and ComfyUI graphs without owning a GPU, not the base image quality. If you want one prompt box and a good default model, Midjourney-class tools beat it; if you want other people's LoRAs, this is the shortcut.

Pros

  • Very large hosted model catalogue organised by discipline rather than by an undifferentiated feed
  • Hosted A1111 and ComfyUI removes the usual local install and dependency pain
  • Cloud LoRA training sits in the same account as generation
  • Free daily credits mean you can evaluate the model library before spending

Cons

  • No pricing page on the public site — you have to sign in to see what membership costs
  • No vendor-marketed developer API, so this cannot be wired into a pipeline
  • Ownership and the LiblibAI relationship are not stated anywhere on the English site
  • Commercial-use rights vary by model, which is a licensing minefield on a community catalogue

Tensor.Art

The draw is the library, not the generator: hundreds of thousands of community checkpoints and LoRAs you can run without a GPU, plus a node editor for people who outgrow the prompt box. Credits are the real currency and they expire, so heavy users end up buying packs on top of the subscription.

Pros

  • Very large public library of checkpoints and LoRAs runnable in the browser
  • ComfyFlow node editor for multi-step pipelines, not just single prompts
  • Free tier resets a daily credit allowance rather than expiring after a trial
  • API keys issue instantly and bill from the same credit balance

Cons

  • Credits do not roll over, so an idle month is money lost
  • Cloudflare blocks automated access, which also complicates any scripted use of the site itself
  • Model licensing is the uploader's business, which pushes the rights question onto you
