Browser-local background removal that never uploads your images
Removebg strips backgrounds from photos by downloading a segmentation model into the browser and running it on the visitor's own machine, so the files never reach a server. It handles people, products, animals, vehicles and logos, and includes brush controls for erasing or restoring parts of the generated mask before saving. Inputs are capped at 10 MB and 6400 pixels per side across PNG, JPG, JPEG and WEBP.
The in-browser tool needs no account or payment, though the site does publish a refund policy page, so some paid path may exist.
Use tool ↗Worth a bookmark if you handle client or NDA images that cannot legally be uploaded to a third-party server, because the model runs in your tab rather than on someone else's GPU. Everyone else will get cleaner hair, fur and glass edges out of remove.bg or Photoroom.
Watch out: The name sits one character away from remove.bg, a separate Canva-owned product, so confirm which site you are actually on before pasting client work.
