Use tool ↗About ReadKidz
ReadKidz builds picture books for children aged 3 to 12. You give it a premise, it writes the text at an age-appropriate reading level, illustrates each page while keeping characters consistent across spreads, and lays the result out for a 300 DPI print-ready export. The same story can become a narrated animation, a kids' music video or a painted graphic novel, in 25 languages. The service is run by AeonProgress LLC, a Colorado company. Everything is paid for in monthly credits: a free start gives 1,500 starter credits for 30 days with watermarked exports, and paid plans begin at $10 a month; unused credits do not roll over.

Pros & cons of ReadKidz
The hard part of an AI picture book is keeping the same character recognisable across twenty pages, and ReadKidz makes that its headline feature alongside age-banded text. The print-ready 300 DPI export and stated user ownership of output mean the result is actually usable as a book rather than a demo. The cost model is credits that expire monthly, which suits a burst of work badly.
Pros
- Character consistency held across pages, which is the usual failure mode
- Text adapts to the target age band within 3-12
- 300 DPI print-ready PDF export and printed-book ordering
- Also outputs animated stories and music videos from the same source
- 25-language support and stated user ownership of created content
Cons
- Credits reset monthly and do not carry forward
- Free start is a 30-day, watermarked preview with 1,500 credits
- Concurrency is rationed by tier, from 3 parallel tasks on Standard up to 10 on Max
Best for
- Parents making a personalised book for one child
- Teachers building a story around a lesson topic
- Self-publishers prototyping an illustrated title
Not for
- Anyone needing a specific illustrator's style reproduced faithfully
- Occasional users — monthly credits expire unused
Watch out: Budget in credits, not books — the site does not publish how many credits a finished book consumes, so the $10 tier's real capacity is unknown until you use it.
