Browser photo and video editor for product shots: background swaps, cleanup, upscaling and AI backdrops
insMind is a browser-based image and video editor pointed at e-commerce listings. The common path is to upload a product photo, cut the background out, drop the item onto a generated backdrop or lifestyle scene, retouch and upscale it, then export at listing dimensions. Around that sit text-to-image, short video generation, cartoon and watercolour style filters and a batch background remover, with iOS and Android apps alongside the web app. It is operated by insMind Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore in January 2024, and sold as a credit-metered Pro subscription with a watermarked free tier plus one-time credit packs for people who do not want a recurring charge.
Pro is around $9.99/month including 100 credits, or roughly $69.99 for a year (~$5.83/month equivalent); one-time credit packs run from about $9.99 to $349.99. The free tier watermarks output. The vendor's plan page renders its prices client-side and did not expose figures to our fetch, so these numbers come from cross-checked third-party listings and should be confirmed at checkout.
Use tool ↗insMind covers the boring half of e-commerce photography — cutout, backdrop, retouch, upscale, export — without asking anyone to learn Photoshop, and the batch background remover is the feature that earns its keep on a large catalogue. The credit metering keeps the headline price low but means a big listing refresh costs more than the subscription implies. The registered Singapore entity is a point in its favour against the many anonymous tools in this category.
Watch out: Prices on this site vary by billing mode — monthly, yearly and a 13-month one-time offer are shown side by side — and the 'one-time' option is not a lifetime licence, just a longer prepaid term.
