Flim is a visual reference engine for people who work from references: around 1.5 million stills, 5,800 films, 150,000 animation frames and more than 400,000 videos, searchable by what is in the frame rather than by title. Directors, art directors and agencies use it to build moodboards, share boards with a team and settle a look before anything is shot; generation and editing tools have since been added alongside the search. The free tier searches the library and allows a daily 1080p–2K still download, but boards stay public. Paid plans are billed in euros: Basic at €14.90 a month, €12.90 billed yearly, and Pro at €34.90, €29.90 yearly, with Teams quoted on request.

Use tool ↗The value is in the corpus, not the model: cinema and animation frames indexed by content, so you can search for a lighting setup or a colour relationship instead of guessing which film had it. That is a specific thing stock libraries and Pinterest both do badly. The free tier is generous enough to test with. Be clear-eyed about rights, though — these are frames from copyrighted films, fine as internal reference and not as published material.
Watch out: Everything in the library is a frame from someone else's copyrighted film — treat it as internal reference, not as material you can publish.
