What our research says

Dubverse

The strongest option in this price band if your target languages are Indian — that coverage is where it beats the western dubbing tools. Read the credit table before the plan table, because $18 buys about twelve minutes of dubbed video, not a month of unrestricted use.

Pros

  • Ten-plus Indian and global languages with around 200 selectable voices
  • One credit balance covers dubbing, subtitles and text-to-speech
  • Public API with a stated sub-500ms response time
  • Annual billing halves the monthly rate on both paid tiers

Cons

  • 50 credits on the $18 Pro plan is only about 12 minutes of dubbed video
  • Supreme costs $30 but the page still lists 50 credits a month, so the value gap is unclear
  • No lip-sync — the audio is replaced but the mouth is not matched
  • Overage means buying more credits rather than a flat cap

VideoDubber

A competent browser dubbing tool that covers the whole chain from subtitles to cloned-voice dub with lip sync, and lets you fix the translation before it commits. The transcript editor is the part that separates it from one-click toys, and the new REST API makes it usable in a pipeline rather than only by hand. The operator is now named in the terms, a small Bengaluru company, which answers the anonymity question the earlier version of the site left open.

Pros

  • Accepts direct links from YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, Instagram and Google Drive, not just file uploads
  • Voice cloning with lip sync, preserving the original speaker's tone
  • Editable transcript so you can fix translation errors before export
  • Per-speaker voice assignment on multi-speaker recordings
  • REST API on paid plans for submitting jobs from a public media URL and polling status

Cons

  • Entry plan buys only 25 minutes a month at an effective $0.36/min, and Starter cannot buy extra minutes
  • 1 GB upload ceiling rules out long or high-bitrate source files
  • API is rate-limited to five requests a minute per key, so bulk polling needs care
  • Pricing page shows crossed-out prices and an offer deadline that has already passed

Which one fits

Choose Dubverse if you need

  • Creators localising into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and other Indian languages
  • Teams that need dubbing, subtitles and TTS from one credit balance
  • Developers wanting a low-latency voice API alongside the editor

Choose VideoDubber if you need

  • Creators localising existing YouTube or TikTok uploads into extra languages
  • Short marketing videos that need a dub rather than burned-in subtitles
  • Anyone who needs the translation corrected by hand before the dub is rendered
