Generates single-storey house floor plans with a live 3D model and free CAD, BIM, and PDF export.
Drafted takes a wish list - rooms, lot size, house shape, square footage, style preferences - and generates residential floor plan options, with a matching 3D model that updates in real time as you drag walls or move doors and windows. Finished plans export as PDF, CAD, or BIM, and projects can be shared with a builder, architect, or client for review. The onboarding asks whether you are a homebuyer, architect, builder, developer, interior designer, drafter, or agent and tailors the flow. The FAQ states plainly that the whole thing, exports included, is free today. Only single-level plans are supported; second storeys and basements are listed as in progress.
The FAQ states the product is completely free, including browsing designs, generating plans, and downloading PDF, CAD, or BIM files. There is no pricing page and no paid tier advertised.
Use tool ↗A floor-plan generator that gets the important part right - the 3D view stays in sync while you edit the 2D plan, so you can judge a layout instead of imagining it. CAD and BIM export for nothing is the standout, since that is normally the paywall in this category. The hard limit is that it only does single-storey homes, which rules out a large share of real projects.
Watch out: Output is ideation geometry, not permit documents - a licensed professional still has to redraw it for approval.
