CVLift is a job-search workspace built around an AI resume builder. You upload a resume or describe your experience, it rewrites vague duties into results-focused bullet points, and for each saved job it prepares a tailored version of the resume and a matching cover letter. An ATS checker, a resume-to-job match score and a cover letter checker sit beside an application tracker that keeps each role's documents, status and notes together. Building and downloading a resume as PDF or Word is free with no card, while the terms describe one-off payments for some features or credits. It is operated by IFLOCK LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.

Pros & cons of cvlift.ai
cvlift.ai has grown from a resume builder into a job-search workspace: AI bullet points, job-description tailoring, cover letters, an ATS checker and an application tracker, with the core build-and-download flow free. It is now openly run by a registered UK company, but the terms mention one-off paid features and credits whose prices are not shown before you hit them.
Pros
- Full build-edit-download flow is free, no credit card required
- Job-description tailoring feature beyond generic formatting
- Cover letter generation included
- Exports to both Word and PDF
Cons
- One-off paid features and credits exist under the terms, but no price list is published on the site
- AI usage limits apply to the free tools and are not quantified
- The free tracker keeps its board in the browser only; syncing needs an account
Best for
- Job seekers wanting a free resume rewrite without a paywall
- Tailoring an existing resume's language to a specific job posting
- Generating a matching cover letter alongside the resume
Not for
- Users who want every cost spelled out before they start
- People needing advanced design or layout customization beyond standard templates
Watch out: The terms say some features and credits are sold as one-off payments at the rate shown at purchase, so the 'free' flow can hit a paywall that the site does not price in advance.
