Takes a book from outline through drafting, editing and cover art to a publish-ready ebook file
BookBud walks a self-published author from an idea to a file they can upload: outline, chapter-by-chapter drafting, editing passes, cover creation and a publish-ready ebook export, with one-click distribution to Amazon, Apple and Kobo. It handles nonfiction as well as fiction. Plans are counted in books per month rather than words — three on the entry tier, fifteen in the middle, fifty at the top — with a free allowance of 25,000 credits for testing the workflow before paying. It is run by Archieboy Holdings, LLC of Marlborough, Massachusetts, the same vendor behind the Groops landing-page tool.
Free includes 25,000 credits. Starter is $19/month or $190/year for 3 books a month; Publisher Basic $49/month or $490/year for 15 books; Pro $99/month or $990/year for 50 books. Annual billing gives two months free at every tier. The book-per-month quota is the metering unit, so the cost per finished title falls sharply on the higher tiers if you actually publish at that rate.
Use tool ↗BookBud covers the whole self-publishing chain rather than just the drafting step, which is the part most writing tools skip — cover art and a distributable ebook file are as much of the job as the prose. Counting quota in books per month is unusually legible compared with credit systems. The obvious caveat applies: a tool that can produce fifty books a month is a tool that will produce fifty books nobody edited.
Watch out: Amazon and other stores require AI-generated content disclosure and cap how many titles an account can upload per day; the tool's throughput is not the store's.
