What our research says

Aragon AI

Aragon is the most mainstream of the AI headshot services and the pay-once model beats renting a subscription you will use twice a year. The catch is that its posted prices are promotional and the refund policy evaporates the moment you download a photo — which is exactly when you find out whether the likeness worked.

Pros

  • One-off packs available alongside monthly plans, so a single shoot needs no subscription
  • Editor covers clothing, background, expression and upscaling after generation
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance stated, which matters for team photo uploads
  • Free reshoot offered before the refund route is used

Cons

  • Basic and Standard output is 896 x 1088, which is thin for print
  • Pack prices have jumped since the summer promotion: the entry pack is now $35
  • Refunds are conditional on not having downloaded the photos

MyPicNow

Cheaper than a photographer and the style library is wide enough that one upload covers LinkedIn, socials and dating apps. The awkward part is the billing model: most people want headshots once, and this charges monthly.

Pros

  • Over 60 preset styles from one upload of 10-15 selfies
  • Entry tier at $19 is well under the $200-500 the site cites for a studio session
  • Annual billing takes 25 percent off every tier
  • Reports concrete usage — 1.25 million photos and 2,500 verified customers as of December 2025

Cons

  • Priced as a monthly subscription for what is usually a one-time need
  • Credits per headshot set are never stated, so cost per usable photo is unknown
  • No company entity or country beyond 'made in Europe' and a founder name
  • No API and no bulk workflow for teams doing many people at once

Which one fits

Choose Aragon AI if you need

  • Professionals who need a LinkedIn-grade portrait without booking a photographer
  • Small teams wanting visually consistent staff photos
  • One-off use where a monthly subscription makes no sense

Choose MyPicNow if you need

  • People needing a professional photo without booking a studio
  • Anyone wanting the same face rendered in many different styles
  • Remote teams standardising headshots without flying everyone in
