What our research says

Ada

Ada is a sales-led enterprise platform: the fit is a support operation with hundreds of thousands of conversations a year and the systems integrations to let an agent actually act. Nobody at that scale will mind that the price lives behind a demo call, but a startup support team looking for a chatbot in an afternoon should look elsewhere. Ten years of doing this and a four-billion-interaction track record are the reasons to take the demo.

Pros

  • Covers voice, messaging and email from one platform rather than chat alone
  • Agents act in connected systems, not just answer from a knowledge base
  • Founded 2016 with a stated four billion interactions and named enterprise customers
  • Documented API, MCP server and an integrations catalogue for developers

Cons

  • No public pricing or self-serve plan; every engagement starts with a demo
  • The vendor's own positioning is enterprise scale, so small volumes are a poor fit
  • Site rejects automated fetches with HTTP 403, so facts are harder to verify

Chattitude

A conventional support-and-sales bot with the useful additions of live-agent handoff and write-back tasks into your helpdesk or CRM, plus a private-label route for agencies. The pricing is the thing to model first: 100 conversations on the $99 tier is a small allowance for any public-facing site, and everything past it is $0.75 a conversation.

Pros

  • Escalation to a live-chat seat is included, not a separate product
  • Integrated tasks write into CRM and helpdesk systems rather than only replying
  • 90+ languages and a template library for agent instructions
  • Overage rates are published per tier instead of hidden

Cons

  • Starter allows only 100 conversations a month and one agent
  • Storage caps at 250-500MB across all tiers, which limits knowledge-base size
  • No developer API is documented — configuration happens in the console

  • Suppliers and associations handling repetitive order or membership queries
  • Agencies who want to resell the platform under their own brand
