What our research says

Copy.ai

Worth it if you are a go-to-market team that will actually build workflows; if you just want a writing assistant, the free plan is gone and a general chatbot costs less.

Pros

  • Workflows chain research, enrichment and writing instead of one-shot prompts
  • Chat seats are unlimited-word and cover five users at the entry price
  • Now backed by a larger RevOps suite rather than a standalone startup

Cons

  • Entry price climbed as the product moved upmarket away from individuals
  • Nothing exists between the $29 Chat seat and the $1,000/mo Growth tier
  • Workflow credits meter compute, so running cost is hard to predict up front
  • Roadmap now serves Fullcast's revenue-operations story, not writers

Typeface

Typeface makes sense for a large marketing organisation whose real problem is keeping hundreds of generated assets on brand and auditable, not for anyone who just wants better copy; the brand-graph and agent governance are what you pay for. It competes with Jasper and Writer at the enterprise end and with Adobe's own GenStudio, and like them it hides the price behind a sales process.

Pros

  • Brand guidelines, assets and audience data are structured so agents can be held to them, not pasted into a prompt
  • Agents handle planning, production and checking as a loop, with performance data fed back in
  • Works inside Figma and Adobe creative tools and connects through MCP and APIs
  • Founder-led by a former Adobe CTO, with investors including GV, Lightspeed, Madrona, Menlo, M12 and Salesforce Ventures

Cons

  • No public pricing or trial; evaluation means a sales cycle
  • The platform has been reorganised around agents and the Arc suite recently, so parts of it are new and the roadmap shifts
  • Overkill for anyone without a brand-governance problem
  • Integration partners are shown as logos rather than documented connectors on the public site

Which one fits

Choose Copy.ai if you need

  • Sales and marketing teams automating account research and outbound sequences
  • RevOps groups already inside the Fullcast planning and compensation stack
  • Companies that want CRM data pulled into generated content automatically

Choose Typeface if you need

  • Enterprise marketing teams producing campaign assets at volume under strict brand governance
  • Companies that want agents to run campaign workflows inside Salesforce, Microsoft or Google tooling with IT controls
  • Creative teams that need generation to live inside Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator rather than a separate editor
