What our research says

Bracket

Bracket is now an enterprise process-automation vendor rather than a Slack task bot: it sells agent-run workflows for operations teams, set up with its own staff and sold through demos. That suits a company with a messy, repetitive cross-system process and budget for a deployment, not a team looking for a self-serve task tool.

Pros

  • Aims at whole processes with human approval steps, not single prompts
  • Works on top of systems a business already runs instead of replacing them
  • Vendor-assisted setup, with a first process promised within a week

Cons

  • No public pricing at all
  • Very little technical documentation on the public site; it is a single-page app built for demos
  • Earlier Slack and email task features are no longer described

UiPath

The reference implementation of enterprise RPA, now rebuilt around agents that decide rather than scripts that only click. It is genuinely deep, and genuinely heavy: the $25 tier is a toe in the water, and everything an organisation actually needs sits behind a quote.

Pros

  • Drives desktop applications that expose no API, which SaaS-only automation tools cannot reach
  • Orchestrator gives central scheduling, queueing and monitoring across a robot fleet
  • Document understanding handles unstructured input rather than assuming clean data
  • Separate Test Cloud covers automated QA on top of process automation

Cons

  • Only the entry tier has a public price; everything above it is sales-quoted
  • Studio is Windows-centric, so authoring is not platform-neutral
  • Real deployments need dedicated staff - this is a programme, not a tool you install on Friday

Which one fits

Choose Bracket if you need

  • Operations teams with a repetitive multi-step process such as order intake or claims spread across email and an ERP
  • Integrators and consultancies building an automation practice for clients

Choose UiPath if you need

  • Enterprises automating high-volume back-office work across legacy applications
  • Teams that need automation running against desktop software with no API
  • Organisations that require on-premises deployment or regional data residency
